E is one!

This family means so much to me (R I hope you know that). They’re just such special people – wonderfully kind and so loving. I’ve been meaning to put these up for some time, so I do apologize for the wait. But I hope the wait was worth it. I’ve had the honour and pleasure to watch little E and N grow in the last year. Here are some photos from E’s one year session. I can’t believe it – it seems not too long ago when I photographed mom when she was pregnant with E.

Lots going on!

2008 is turning out to be even more exciting and busy than I had imagined, both personally and business-wise. Matthew is now six months, and I can hardly believe it! My husband and I managed to take some snaps a few days ago. Please excuse my messy hair, lol. I just came back from a run. I suppose I should have showered before taking these photos (sorry if too much information, lol), but as you know, it is more important that we catch our little munchkins in a good mood than for mom to smell nice, haha.

Couldn’t resist sharing.

So anyway, as I was saying, it’s been busy! But all for good reasons. There are a few exciting events coming up, as some already know. First of all, there is my camera workshop for moms and dads, which will be taking place on June 7th (click on link above for more info). The first three spots sold within 12 hours of my announcement being posted! This is going to be one fun and informative workshop is all I will say.

Second fun event happening is the Children’s Trunk Show (go to www.childrenstrunkshow.com for more info), which is taking place this year on May 31st at the Distillery District. What a great excuse to get some girlfriends out together to go shopping for some neat kids’ and babies’ paraphernalia. You can also get some great coffee and yummy treats to boot – SOMA is right around the corner. (And while you’re at it, might as well make dinner reservations at Perigee!)

The third event is still in the planning phase and all I can say right now is to stay tuned…you won’t want to miss this!

By the way, did you know that you can subscribe to my blog? Just go to the link above that says “subscribe” and you will be on your way. This way, every time I post something new you will be notified!

Stay tuned!

Baby J has arrived!

I am re-posting this here as a post (as opposed to a private page). This will be my first post on my newly designed blog (thanks to Tea Brennan from LinkArtist Multimedia!).

Without further ado…

It’s been a year already, and it is at sessions like this one where I am, once again, reminded of how fortunate I am. I photographed mom when she was pregnant with baby M, then photographed baby M when she was a mere few days old. She came back when she was 6 months old, and now, look at her!! We decided to take the session out of the studio for a change, and am I glad I did. The light was beautiful streaming through the windows, and it served to accentuate M’s natural beauty and cuteness! M was showing me all sorts of moves.

Here is M showing me push-ups:

Here is M on a bouncy ball:

Finally, here is M showing me that she is not only athletic, but musical as well:

This post seems to be missing after the transition! I’m so sorry! Here are the photos:

Still trying to fix bugs here! Let’s try this again. Sorry mom!

Photos are missing!

04-04-2008

Oh great. I just realized that some of the photos I’ve uploaded are missing. Now what?? I have spent the entire afternoon fussing with this. I am getting very frustrated!!!

I am in the process of updating my blog and am having some teething issues. See, with this blog, I can upload all sorts of neat themes (or skins as some call them) to give the blog a unique look. As great as this blog software is (Wordpress – it’s free but you have to do the installation onto your server yourself), I have to perform updates as they become available, especially those updates that have significant improvements. I’ve already bypassed a few but Wordpress.org recently came out with version 2.5, which does appear to be a worthy upgrade. Well, I did manage to perform the upgrade without losing any of my posts and whatnot; however, I am unable to get the same header as before (you know, with my kids and dogs). SO…….I’m still working on it. Hey, I am a photographer, not a technie! Anyhow…thanks for your patience. In the meantime, I know that the style of this particular theme does not match with the style of my work, but this is most definitely a work in progress and I am hoping to work out all issues by the end of the weekend.

Thanks for reading my ramblings!
