There is no question that photography
sparks a certain fire within me. Some people refer to this
sentiment as “food for the soul.” However, I am
not a portrait photographer because I love photography –
I specialize in portraiture because I love people.
Every
person I meet is unique, whether he or she is a grandparent,
a parent, a child, or baby. You are unique. I want to be a
part of your world if only for as long as our portrait session
lasts. I want to help you remember how beautiful your life
is, and how little miracles have a magical way of working
their ways into your life, by visually documenting these precious
moments of your life. You don’t need me to tell you
how time goes by in the blink of an eye, and how “it
seems like just yesterday when…”
A successful portrait study, whether it be a
maternity, a newborn, or a portrait study of a child, requires
more than someone who can take pictures. After all, almost
anyone can press a button and utter “say cheese”
simultaneously. I do not take pictures – I create timeless
memories. Memories of those precious yet fleeting moments,
permanently captured, to be appreciated forever. Memories
of you and your children’s lives. This is where I truly
believe that I have been given a gift – the ability
to connect with people of all ages; the ability to convey
to you that I am someone to whom you can open up and trust.
Children love me just as much as I love them – they
find me patient, caring, and honest. They quickly realize
that I am only here to capture their true emotions, expressions,
and feelings – nothing contrived, nothing posed. As
well, mothers know right away that I understand where they
are coming from. They know, for example, that I understand
those tender, quiet moments of love between a mother and her
unborn child.
You are never just another client to me. When
you choose me to be your and your children’s portrait
artist, you have essentially given me the opportunity to study
you and your children – what moves you and your children,
what makes you and them tick. I take this responsibility very
seriously, and I understand what a privilege this is.
I look forward to meeting you and your children!
